You have seen that show where the women were pregnant and didn’t know it until labor came, right?  Well, I ,NEVER in a million years, thought it was actually true.  Everyone that I have ever known always knew and always showed – some more than others.  That was until last week…

My dear friend, Kate, sent me ,along with her other close friends, to tell us that she was PREGNANT!  And not 8 weeks pregnant, 32 weeks pregnant!!  I know, you are wondering, “How did she not know?”

Long story short, one side of her belly was a tad larger and she was having these spasm like feelings.  Doc predicted it was an enlarged liver.  Most times the spasms is a symptom of such thing.  So doc ordered a CT scan and all that jazz.  The day Kate got an xray was the day she found out.  To everyone’s surprise there was a skeleton in her abdomen!  Holy smokes!  So here she was, last Tuesday, finding out she is around 30 weeks pregnant. Everyone’s jaws were dragging the ground!

As with anyone, it took some time to sink it that this was actually real and not just a dream. And now that she knew that those spasms as her baby moving, she began to embrace it and rub that little belly of hers. Enjoying pregnancy.

Kate had an appointment scheduled for 8 days later, two days from today to be exact.  Not even a week later, she went into early labor, which is when she found out she was 32 weeks along.  They tried everything possible to stall it but that little girl was on a mission!  She wanted to meet everyone, and NOW!  There was no waiting.  Speed racer like her daddy, that’s for sure!

Kate gave birth to her beautiful and HEALTHY baby girl on Sunday, June 29, 2014.  She weighed in at 4lbs 12oz and was 17 3/4 long.  She is the most precious little thing!  She looks like her mama and has all her daddy’s little quirks.  After only knowing they were expecting for less than a week and not even knowing the gender, they hadn’t even thought about what they would name the baby.  They finally announce this little gem’s name yesterday!  Welcome to this big world, McKenzie Ainslynn!

I loved holding her and loving on her.  My camera weighs more than this little beauty!  I can’t wait for your lifestyle newborn session with this new family!  Congratulations again, Kate and Drew, for your amazing surprise miracle baby girl!

XOXO
