The sky was very threatening of rain before Sarah and Dave’s Guam Couples Portraits. I am so incredibly happy that we just decided to brave it and keep going until the rain stopped us. When booking their session, Sarah was worried about being awkward in front of the camera because these two are so used to being behind it, as photographers. Man, did I prove them wrong. They were naturals, whether they would like to admit it or not! Each simple direction allowed them to open up and totally be themselves — happy and full of PDA. Hehe!
I cannot tell you how many times I get the “We are awkward in front of the camera” comment from couples. Even the moms and dads in family sessions tell me so. I love the part of being able to show my clients that they are wrong and that being in front of the camera doesn’t have to be weird, especially with me as their photographer.
Guam Couples Portraits don’t have to be just for engagements. It could be an anniversary, like Sarah & Dave did, or just because. Children will be thankful to have these types of photos to have years from that evoke how much their parents loved each other.
Sarah and Dave, I had such a blast with you two and I am so glad went on with this session despite the rain heading our way. Thank you for being so amazing and choosing me to document this time in your lives! I hope you love this series of teaser images that are my personal favorite, and boy was it hard to choose what to show you here! <3 Hugs!
