The Norris Family was one of my model call families that I selected when I first moved here and my first Downtown Las Vegas Family Session. My socials and website needed more “Vegas” looking content, aka imagery, so model calls were the perfect thing for me to get that quickly. I had lots of wonderful families apply for the model call application and it was so dang hard to choose only five. The Norris Family’s questionnaire caught my attention with her description of their perfect Saturday. Mom said that their perfect day would be “Sleeping in, getting donuts, crafting, going to a movie, playing board games.”
My creative brain went to work and decided a Downtown Las Vegas Family Session was the perfect setting for some donuts and playing some games. I pitched the idea to mom and she loved it so we got to planning. I felt like the urban setting just made since for this idea that I had brewed up in my noggin.
Mom brought a bag of games that would be easy enough to play outside and doesn’t require a lot of set up or clean up. The kids excitedly chose Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza (Amazon). I had made a stop that day to grab some donuts from YoNutz to also include in their session.
After their session, I received the best review! Tailoring sessions to individual families is my favorite thing in this world of photography.
