It’s so important for you moms to step in front of the camera with your little ones, and don’t forget to include your own mom, especially for a beautiful Vegas Desert Motherhood Session. Having grandma join us and share her love with her daughter and grandchildren made the session even more special. Family sessions can include anyone you love, not just the traditional mom, dad, and kids set up. What’s important is being with those you adore with all your heart.
I absolutely adore the natural desert features like the cacti, the stunning rocky landscape that encompasses the Las Vegas valley, and the paths that make for fun and memorable exploration. When choosing locations with many spiky plants, it’s crucial to consider the ages, personalities, and temperaments of children to ensure their safety.
This motherhood photo session lasted about an hour, giving us plenty of time to capture a variety of shots for their gallery. We included their dog, Jarvis, and Grandma in the photos. Taking pictures of Grandma with her grandkids and daughter was quite moving for me. It’s clear that these images will be treasured deeply in the future. Shew, did I get ya right in the feels too?
My top tip for motherhood sessions is to let the kids be themselves. Stay present and embrace their adventurous spirits. As a photographer who follows the kids’ lead, I find this approach leads to happier children and more relaxed moms.
I’d be thrilled to photograph you and your little ones, creating lasting memories for all. The location doesn’t matter as much as capturing the special bond you have with those precious children you’ve brought into the world with so much love!

Supper in the front yard made with fresh veggies from the family garden and homemade sourdough artisan bread, goats and chickens, and horses to ride. The most relaxed and sentimental family session with the most amazing family.
Check out all the wonderful moments from this session, right before baby number 3 was announced into their family unit.
