THE STILL FAMILY’S LAS VEGAS IN-HOME FAMILY PHOTOS
Recently, I had the joy of photographing the Still Family whose story was woven beautifully into the walls of their home. Their days are filled with playful chaos and tender routines. The kids, full of energy, played around the playroom and their backyard playset, which sits in a sprawling sandbox perfect for digging and dreaming.
But it wasn’t all high-speed fun. The slower moments were just as precious. The kids would pause to join their mom in the kitchen, where sourdough starter was in the making. Together, they measured ingredients, stirred dough, and began the process of creating homemade sourdough bread—something that they do frequently together.
This session was pure magic. We sang Itsy Bitsy Spider snuggled on the couch, built Magna block towers, played airplane with Mom and Dad, ran outside, raided the pantry for snacks, made starter, and wrestled with Dad. Mom wanted to capture the little details of her kids, especially the youngest—her chunky cheeks, bright eyes, and tiny fingers and toes. These small moments may seem ordinary now, but as they grow, they’ll become treasured memories.

Photographing this family reminded me of my own memories of home. Growing up, I spent many afternoons on my grandpa’s porch, him snapping Polaroids of family gatherings. Those images weren’t perfect, but they became treasures, holding onto fleeting moments of love and connection.
