If you are a parent searching for family photos in Las Vegas, you may notice that many photographers offer short sessions all year. And if you have followed me for a while, you may remember that I offered them too.

Over time, as I have grown as a Las Vegas family photographer, and as I have photographed more families than I can count, I have learned something important.
Your family deserves more than 30 rushed minutes.

After years of seeing what works and what does not, I made a thoughtful shift. I no longer offer short sessions year round. Instead, I have simplified my offerings to focus on giving your family the most relaxed, natural, and meaningful experience possible.

Let me share why.

Kids (and husbands) warm up in the second half of a session

In reality, contrary to what many parents believe, most little ones need a little time to warm up. Many kids do not fully relax until about 10 to 15 minutes into a session, and that is completely normal. Husbands often warm up the same way.

Those first few minutes are usually spent getting comfortable, exploring the space, and easing into the moment. The sweetest and most genuine images almost always happen after everyone has loosened up, which is why short sessions often miss the real magic.

This is one of the biggest reasons I no longer offer shorter sessions year round.

Why I tried offering them here, and why I am returning to my roots

When I moved to Las Vegas, I noticed that almost every family photographer in Las Vegas offered short sessions throughout the year. Because it was the norm, I felt like I needed to offer them too.

However, the more I photographed families this way, the more I realized that short sessions did not align with the heart of my work. My style thrives on connection, storytelling, and natural moments. That takes time.

Returning to relaxed, flexible sessions has made a huge difference in the experience I can give your family, along with the quality and emotional depth of your gallery.

The best photos come when no one feels rushed

When it comes to your session, if parents feel pressure to hurry, kids feel it too. Trust me.
And family photos should be joyful and natural, not stressful.

Longer sessions allow your family to breathe, laugh, and simply be yourselves.
This is when the storytelling happens.
It’s also when the authentic moments show up.
And ultimately, that is when your gallery feels full of life and emotion.

This style of connection based family photography cannot be rushed.

Connection takes time, and that is what I want to document for you

My approach is rooted in capturing real moments, gentle interactions, and the in between details that make your family unique.

The Signature Experience, which lasts 60 to 90 minutes, gives us time for moments to unfold naturally. This supports the warm, natural light style you see throughout my work and gives your gallery depth and variety.

Short sessions simply do not support this style year round.

I do offer shorter sessions, but only a couple times a year when I release my Short Story Sessions. These 30 minute sessions are perfect for families who want a quick update without committing to a full storytelling session. Because my focus is on quality and experience, they are limited and always fill quickly.
