I was searching for things to do with my family this fall season, and I was surprised by how much there was to do! Way more than I can put in here. I did promise on my social media pages that I would share my research with them, so here is my compiled list of things that were interesting to me and not too scary for my family, given that I have a 9 and 4 year old.

FALL HARVEST AT GILCREASE ORCHARD
September 23rd – October 31st
7am-2pm, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays & Sundays
(Weekend dates require you to purchase tickets.)
$5 per person ($8 for walk-ups and are limited), 5 and under are free.

Gilrease Orchard features pumpkin picking, a hay ride (weekends), mazes, checking out the chicken coop and desert tortoise habitat, sunflower field, apple cider donuts and breakfast, and of course some yummy apple and pear cider. My family went the last time we lived in Vegas, and we LOVED it! The donuts and cider are to die for!

MCKEE FAMILY RANCH
Month of October
Monday thru Friday from 2pm – 6pm & Saturday and Sunday from noon – 6pm
$25 donation for entry per family

McKee Family Ranch will sure have the kiddos so excited to be around the animals. Of course they have pumpkins for sale, but they will also have a corn maze, photo opps, and things to feed the animals. You can also purchase additional tickets for horse/pony rides, train rides for the little littles, and other snacks/vendors. This is another one my family visited when we lived here before and we will definitely go back.

HALLOWEEN TOWN
Boca Park – 510 S. Rampart Boulevard (best for 2-10 years old)
Monday – Friday 4pm-9pm, Saturday + Sunday 11am – 9pm

Southwest – 9153 S. Rainbow Blvd. (teens + young adults)
Monday – Friday 5pm-10pm, Saturday + Sunday 2pm – 10pm

Silverado – 71 E. Silverado Ranch Boulevard (Fun for everyone)
Monday – Friday 4pm-9pm, Saturday + Sunday 11am – 9pm

Safe Trick or Treating October 27, 28, 29 (Boca + SIlverado Ranch)
Free admission and parking

Halloween Town features carnival rides, games, (pumpkin painting & face painting at the Boca location), and yummy snacks like: funnel cakes, caramel apples, cotton candy, corn dogs, hamburgers, and loads more. See dates and info on these events here.

MOAPA VALLEY CORN MAZE
Lewis Ranch Road
Sept 29th thru October 30th
Fridays 4pm – 11pm, Saturdays noon – 11pm, and Sundays noon – 10pm
$12 per person, 4 and under are free.

Admission includes: Day maze, pumpkin patch, Non-Haunted Night Maze, Pig Races, Pedal Cards, Cow Train, Bounce Pillow, Nevada’s tallest swing set, large jenga, corn pit & playground, petting zoo, pumpkin chess checkers, corn toss, zip line and more.

Other events that you can pay for additionally are things like paintball fun, hay rides (haunted and not), haunted night maze, shriek shack and a few other things. You can see all the pricing right here. My family and I also went to this one year. There wasn’t as much to do there years back as there is now, so I am excited to go back!

PARADE OF MISCHIEF
Downtown Summerlin
Every Friday & Saturday from October 6th -28th from 6-6:30pm.

The Parade of Mischief is a family friendly halloween parade for all ages. Music and pre-parade fun starts 15 minutes prior to 7pm parade.

HAUNTED HARVEST
Springs Preserve
Only 4 days in October
5-9pm (members can get early entry at 4pm)
Non-members $12/person and Value Members are $8/person, 2 and under are free
Free parking at Springs Preserve with overflow in Meadows Mall parking lot.

Reservations are required – Limited Spots are left and tickets are only sold online.

FARM FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL
The Las Vegas Farm

Farmers Market: 9am-6pm (no charge)
Animals: 9am-5pm ($10 for 13+; $5 for 12 & under)
Activities: 9am-4pm (cost varies between $1-$6)

Come hang out with ducks, peacocks, chickens, geese, a llama, cows, goats, a donkey, rabbits, pigs, horses, and so much more. The farmers market sells wonderful yums like local honey, eggs, and fruits and veggies. Pick some pumpkins all October long. The Farm Fall Harvest Festival will be the last two weekends in October. The festival includes fun things like pony rides, a maze, a small cow train for the tots, and snacks for concession.

HALLOVEEN AT THE MAGICAL FOREST
October 5th-7th, 12th-14th, and 19th-31st
Sunday thru Thursday from 5:30pm – 9:00pm
Friday and Saturday from 5:30pm – 9:30pm
Halloween Night closes at 8:30pm

4+ are $$25 and 3 and under are free.

This family-friendly halloween event is hosted on 2.5 acres and filled with spooky, but friendly, creatures and decorations all around. Come in your costumes and visit the trick-or-treat stations and enjoy some entertainment, rides, and games. You admission tickets include two mini-escape rooms in addition to the carnival rides. Food and beverages will be sold at The Holiday Shoppe.

GOOSEBUMPS ESCAPE ROOM SERIES
Downtown Recreation Center
October 13th + 14th (various times)
$15/person, max is 10 per household/family in the escape room

Come out to a family-friendly Goosebumps-themed escape room. Each family has one hour to escape. Spots are limited so go grab your tickets here.

They have many other events for October as well. For example they also have a cosmic swim with lights, glow things, and music. So go check them out!

THE SMITHS CENTER
The Smiths Center has some fun live performances featuring Día de los Muertos: A Family Concert,  Sugar Skull! A Día de Muertos Musical Adventure, and Michael Grimm: Putting a Spell on You. So be sure to check those out!
