As a Las Vegas in-home family photographer, I believe these are the moments worth holding onto. Not just the grand ones. The ordinary ones. The ones that are almost already gone.

The Still Family’s Las Vegas In-Home Family Photos

The Still family’s home had a rhythm to it from the moment I walked in.

The kids knew exactly where they wanted to be. The playroom. The backyard playset. The sandbox out back that was made for digging and dreaming and staying in way too long.

We followed them everywhere.

We sang Itsy Bitsy Spider snuggled on the couch. Built Magna block towers. Played airplane with Mom and Dad. Raided the pantry for snacks. Wrestled with Dad on the floor. Ran outside and came back in and ran outside again.

Then things slowed down in the kitchen.

Mom had sourdough starter going. The kids pulled up and got involved, measuring, stirring, doing the whole process alongside her. Something they do together regularly. Just another Tuesday. Except now it’s documented.

Mom wanted the little details too. Her youngest’s chunky cheeks. Those bright eyes. Tiny fingers and toes that won’t be tiny much longer.

Those are always the details moms ask for. And they are always the ones I am most glad we got.

More Than Just Pretty Outfits and Locations

Photographing this family reminded me of my own memories of home.

Growing up, I spent many afternoons on my grandpa’s porch, him snapping Polaroids of family gatherings. Those images were not perfect. Lighting was off half the time. People were mid-blink.

But I have held those photos as an adult and felt things I cannot describe. Because they held people I have lost. Moments I would never get back any other way.

That is why I do this work.

This session, like every in-home session I photograph, captured the essence of a family’s life right now. Playful, cozy, and completely unique to them.
